Jungle Walk

The forest starts at the end of our garden, and once you are inside it is easy to forget the town is a few minutes away. A local guide leads a gentle, story-filled loop along the ridgeline — langur monkeys travelling overhead, woodpeckers answering each other.

Halfway there the trail opens onto a clearing with a view straight down the lake. We stop for water and a snack, and the guide will point out which of the peaks you are looking at.
